…Austria – it offers countless opportunities to enjoy the holiday. Sailors from all over the world come here to explore the lake on their boats. Traditional sailing clubs and schools around the lake provide the infrastructure to sail in the famous “rose wind”. Other water sports such as windsurfing, stand-up-paddling, pedal boating or water skiing can also be tried and practiced thanks to several water sports schools. If you like it less sporty, you will find peace and relaxation at numerous public bathing places or beach baths.

Dive enthusiasts can discover the lake with its mystical underwater world. In diving schools and dive centers you can book courses, hire equipment or find a diving guide. Experienced divers explore on their own the depths of the Attersee from the numerous entry points.

If you want to combine hiking with scuba diving in a unique way, you can do that with a guide along the Gimbach Cascades. While hiking up, you will go downhill with the diving goggles through the Gimbach and its deep pools.

Of course, also without your snorkeling equipment, you can explore the mountains around Lake Attersee. Climbers, hikers and mountaineers can explore the Höllengebirge and many other numerous peaks in the lake district. The BergeSeeTrail connects the lakes of the Salzkammergut in an over 350km, spectacular trail.
